WORKING THROUGH THE RESOURCES
The Quality Improvement and Foliage resources have been developed so that individuals can work through all or selected topics on a self-directed basis.
For the other resources options include:
- Work through all of the resources with the support of a mentor.
- Work though topics where you feel you need to update your skills with the support of a mentor.
- Work through all or selected topics on a self-directed basis.
GAINING A CERTIFICATE
You can gain a certificate with the CILIP Seal of Recognition. You can only gain a certificate for working through the following resources with the support of a mentor: Introduction to Searching, Searching for Evidence, Introduction to Evidence Based Practice, Professional Development and Training Skills.
ACCESSING RESOURCES
All NHS WM library staff can have access to these resources by creating a Moodle account. Go to http://www.nlhtrain.nhs.uk/login/index.php to do this.
When you create your user account you will need to wait for it to be approved. If you have not received an email confirming your account within a week of creating your account, please email Sharon Stevens of the RLU.
ENROLMENT KEY
When you first access a set of resources you will be asked for an enrolment key. You will only be asked for this once. Details of enrolment key's for each set of resources can be found in the documents folder for learning and development. NB: You will need to be logged into the Wish site to access the document.
WHY NOT USE WiSH?
The RLU view Moodle and WiSh as providing complementary roles in increasing the accessibility of learning and development resources.
The main purpose of the WiSh website is to provide a collaborative platform for staff within the West Midlands Healthcare Libraries Network and is open to our partners working in HE and public libraries. On the WiSH website you will find details of various regional groups and localities, presentations and related documents from Regional Networking Days and links to learning and development resources which are freely available. Resources on Moodle are those owned by the RLU and therefore only available to WM NHS library staff.
